A full month since my last post, and I've still yet to hit the 90,000 milestone. Clearly I need to invest more time into this thing or it's never going to get done, and I've put too much work into this to give up now. There's still a lot more to write, and stories that want to be told.

 80000

Life, please complete my novel for me. :frustration:

But seriously, the writing process; it's something.

70000

70,000 words now on my manuscript -- almost there! Or was...

90,000 words was my goal, but as I've gotten closer to reaching that goal, I've begun to wonder if I can get everything in that word count. So, I've considered raising the artificial limit from 90,000 words to 120,000 words. Whether or not I will even hit that is to be determined, but now I have a little more room to get everything that I feel would have had to have been significantly cut to fit the initial goal, which makes it a little less stressful.

Of course, being that this is the workings of my first novel, I am aware that a higher word count may not be the best thing, but... I'll let the publishers deal with it. Unless they all simply won't take my novel at that length, then I will cut back.

Oh hey, another post on a blog that nobody reads yet... Discouraging? Not in the least.

Just about hit 60,000 on my manuscript. Still a bit slow moving in the actual writing process, but as long as I have time to reflect on it (which I do), I will persist.

Finishing up The Death of the Necromancer and all I have to say is that I love it!

Have had to slow down on writing. Several life things coming up and preventing me from getting a good amount of writing time every day. But it's all well, now.

***

I've finally gotten around to reading the first book in Robert Jordan's The Wheel of Time, and am enjoying it immensely so far.

I'm also in the middle of reading The Death of the Necromancer by my new favorite author, Martha Wells. I am very fascinated by Wells' worldbuilding. I've made some pieces of music for her Books of the Raksura, as seen here under the Art section.

 50000 WORDS

Getting ever closer to my goal of 90,000 words for my WIP MS. Now if I could just stop procrastinating, as I should be at least 5,000 words ahead of this by now... Oh well.

Thanks to perseverance and NOT procrastination, I've about hit the halfway mark for my W.I.P. Manuscript.

40,000 Words

Within the next few months, I should have it completed, and then I can get to the excruciating fun part: editing.

And I now crosspost my LiveJournal with DreamWidth, so that's cool.

My DreamWidth.
(Still figuring out kinks.)

I've made a new piece of music for marthawells' Raksura books. It's called Chime and is on the Three Worlds Compendium at the bottom of the page.
