Huh. I must have forgotten this thing still existed. *shrug* I suppose now is a good time for an accumulative update as ever.

The publisher I was trying to get published under ended up rejecting my work, but I remain determined to get it out there. In the meantime, however, I have decided to withhold it from further prospects for an indefinite period of time. Mainly because I want to continue polishing it until it's the best it can be, and because writing has slowed down for me substantially.

Which brings me here. I started working on my second novel only days after I submitted my first, and now, over a year later, I have still yet to make it anywhere near my goal, which is a big NO, because it is the sequel to the first novel, and I really need to see it through. With more than half of the novel still left to go, I don't feel comfortable sending off novel one to a publisher and then getting slammed with deadlines for novel two that I can't meet.

This isn't much of an accumulative update, but it's what's happening. And the first step to solving a problem is recognizing there is one, so I guess I have that going for me.
